Osteria Giardino Bordei, our organic vegetarian restaurant in the village of Bordei, is open seven days a week from April to August; six days a week (Tuesday through Sunday) from September to October; and five days a week (Wednesday through Sunday) in November. The restaurant is run by Chef Pietro Leemann, who founded and managed the world-renowned vegetarian restaurant Joia in Milan—which opened in 1989 and was awarded a Michelin star in 1996. At Osteria Giardino, the ingredients are 100% organic and sourced—whenever possible—from Bordei’s own vegetable gardens and orchards. The high-quality cuisine is plant-based, follows a distinctive mountain style, and combines simplicity with an abundance of flavor. Exclusive events, such as birthday parties or weddings, are hosted in the adjacent small church.
